However, in his desire to make Cantor look bad and make himself look good, Diradour certainly leaped to conclusions and didn't do any basic fact checking before he shot from the hip. While it might not be a lie in the strict sense of the word, it certainly shows a careless disregard and disrespect for the truth, and a reckless attitude - which are certainly character flaws no sensible person would want in any elected official.
