Deeds staffer looking for satisfaction at the McDonnell camp
By | Monday, August 31st, 2009 | Politics

The Deeds’ campaign is incensed that one of their campaign staffers sought to pose as a citizen seeking information about McDonnell’s campaign activities.

As reported by the Washington Post:

“An overzealous campaign worker was trying to figure out where Bob McDonnell was today,” [Deeds' Campaign Manager Joe] Abbey said. “We have made it clear to all staff and volunteers that this behavior is not acceptable and should not happen again.”

And he has a right to be angry.

The poor girl has nothing to work for.

No transportation plan. No energy plan. A belief that only the poor should have abortions. No economic plan that doesn’t include higher taxes. No honest talk – just saying one thing in Bath County and another in Charlottesville. No original ideas coming out of the campaign, just flaccid agreement with McDonnell on rest stops, ABC privatization, gubernatorial salary, etc.

All she sees right now is a weak and shallow campaign that is losing by 8-15 points, which is grasping at 20-year-old straws and phantom confederate flags.

So, she grew disenchanted.

She grew cold to the relationship.

She was seeking something new, exciting, optimistic, energetic, dare I say, virile?

Can you blame her for wanting to seek closer ties the McDonnell campaign?

Can you blame her for doing what so many women across Virginia are doing – and that is finding hope for a brighter Virginia future by supporting the McDonnell campaign?

For example, she’s just the latest in a throng of Democratic women who are changing their allegiance to McDonnell, like Shelia Johnson, a major donor to Tim Kaine and the Democrats, and Judy Ford Wason, the former Head of “Virginians for Mark Warner”:

“I know and have confidence in Bob McDonnell,” said Ford Wason. “He respects and surrounds himself with strong working women. His daughter served our nation in Iraq. His campaign manager in 2005 was a working mom. As Attorney General he appointed women to run the public safety, opinions, civil litigation and transportation/real estate/environment and technology sections of Virginia’s Attorney General’s office. As the former head of “Virginians for Mark Warner”, and a pro-choice woman, I look for candidates who seek to bring people together and Bob McDonnell is doing this in his campaign. Bob has always respected and supported working women and will continue to do so.”

Is it any wonder so many women are flocking to McDonnell? Can you really fault this young girl from the Deeds camp for turning to him too? After all, most girls want a winner.

Yes, yes… we get it. Please, no mas. Virile Bob doesn’t hate women. Even employed women. See, those are real women in that there picture. This is truely a repudiation of his early stance which he documented in his thesis. Bob hearts women. Women women women.
