I gave up on the Jody Wagner campaign when it issued an official campaign announcement that Jody’s popcorn is “Yum-O”
Maybe this is the official campaign website. I clicked on “Fabulous Fudge” and expected to find Wagner’s budget projections.
If they had a section for “nuts,” I’d likely find her latest attack on Bolling. He hadn’t attended a Virginia Beach Democrat breakfast meeting.
Yep, the same breakfast meeting that didn’t want citizens showing up who opposed socialized government health care. The same breakfast meeting that canceled Democrat Congressman Glenn Nye’s appearance because there might be a health care question.
This is almost as sad as her repeated attacks she’s made on Bill Bolling for not attending meetings of Advisory groups that he’s not even a member of, like GACRE. Tim Kaine never attended them as LG either.
Is that what counts as a campaign issue these days? I can hear the ad now.
“Bill Bolling didn’t attend meetings of a group he didn’t even belong to. Jody Wagner is outraged and pledges to attend every meeting of every group she doesn’t belong to.”
Hey, Jody. I never saw you at a Republican breakfast. We had a Republican City Committee meeting once a month all year. You didn’t show up. And you actually live here in Virginia Beach (since you quit your job to be a politician).
Wagner also misses that her attendance isn’t exactly cheery and perfect at meetings of the Health Reform Commission, Transportation Accountability Commission, Virginia Economic Development Partnership and Tourism Council, to name a few.
She calls missing a meeting that you aren’t even supposed to attend “leaving the office vacant” which is an ironic term, since that’s exactly what Jody did to her last government job. She vacated it.
So, no Jody. Bill Bolling doesn’t show up at the dreary Democrat breakfasts in Virginia Beach, and you don’t shake hands at a GOP breakfast. He sometimes doesn’t sit through commission meetings when he’s not a member of them, and neither do you.
He does, however have a record of achievement and a record of telling people for years not to listen to your popcorn-like budget projections.
Jody, please start campaigning with some facts and lay off the fudge.
