Democrats lie about Villanueva
By Brian Kirwin | Wednesday, August 5th, 2009 | PoliticsIn the wake of Creigh Deeds attacking Bob McDonnell for something he didn’t say, it’s funny that the Democrat bloggers have to lie to and attack Ron Villanueva for Will Sessoms’ proposal in the Virginian-Pilot today.
The Democrats’ headline, just in case they change it, is “GOP House Challenger Ron Villenueva Suggests a Tax Hike”
Except he DIDN’T.
I was there. Ron Villanueva didn’t suggest, propose, offer, entertain, support or applaud any tax hike. Not one bit!
Of course, Villanueva’s opponent, Del. Robert Mathieson, has voted for lots of tax hikes (like THIS)in his short one term in Richmond, but I guess the Democrats aren’t bothered by that.
But just like Creigh Deeds attacked Bob McDonnell for things he never said, Democrats are attacking Villanueva for proposals he never proposed.
It’s pretty bad when Democrat bloggers can’t think of a single reason to vote for their candidates other than blasting out lies about good candidates like Ron Villanueva.
Voters in the 21st should ask themselves why the Democratic Party would try to misinform the public that Villanueva was proposing any tax increase, when it’s Del. Mathieson who has the actual record of tax increases.

Terry McAuliffe sent out a campaign blast for Deeds today too that perpetuates the myth that McDonnell said what RPV chairman Pat Mullins said.
So, from now on, anything ANY Democrat says, I am now attributing to Mathieson, Deeds, whoever.

Barbara Boxer? Bobby Mathieson said today….
Jesse Jackson? Joe Bouchard said today….
Dickie Cranwell? Jody Wagner said today….
How disengenuous and desparate can these people get? We’re still 90 days out! Unfortunately, I have a feeling we’re going to find out just how dirty the Democrats will get.
Villanueva is one of the Democrats’ best friends, if you go strictly according to his voting record. If they told the truth about him, they would have to criticize their own ideas.
