Denial is the first indication of a problem, and for Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, Jody Wagner, it’s an addiction to taxes.

While Secretary of Finance, Jody Wagner wrote state budgets that missed revenue projections by more than 20 percentage points, resulting in over $5 billion in shortfalls, said the Republican Party of Virginia. The RPV also reminded voters that under Tim Kaine and Jody Wagner, Virginia’s unemployment has increased by 130% and 160,000 more Virginians are now unemployed.
I guess losing your job was the sacrifice they had in mind.

Really? If that’s true, then she must have had quite a bit to do with the unconstitutional amendments the governor injected into HB3202.
Additionally, RPV points out that as Secretary of Finance, Wagner unsuccessfully led Governor Kaine’s efforts to raise billions of dollars of new taxes on Virginia families to pay for transportation. “Through the course of the administration, Kaine and Wagner proposed increasing the state sales tax, the sales tax on automobiles, automobile insurance premium taxes and taxes on home sales,” they said.
So, Wagner’s commonsense solution to Virginia transportation problems is to raise taxes by billions of dollars?
Well, considering who she’s running with, it’s not really that much of a surprise.
