Mullins on Kaine
By JR Hoeft | Wednesday, May 20th, 2009 | PoliticsIf you’ll recall, last week, Pat Mullins made comments about Gov. Tim Kaine being a part-time governor yet drawing a full-time salary.
Later that week, Kaine himself said in the Richmond Times-Dispatch that is was challenging doing both jobs.
To which, Mullins has released this statement:
“I was sorry to hear that Tim Kaine is finding it difficult to manage his time between his political duties as head of the national Democratic Party and his constitutional duties as the Governor of Virginia. The people of Virginia elected him to do the job he campaigned for, which is of particular importance as many Virginians are facing difficult economic troubles.
“He simply cannot be a part-time governor when people are looking for full-time solutions. If Tim Kaine thinks his burdens are too great, he should pick one job to do and resign from the other.”

How will he justify the fact that Jim Gilmore was Governor of Virginia at the same time he was Chairman of the Republican NATIONAL committee?
Mullins is working hard to win his election as RPV Chairman. Is he also working just as hard as Interim Chairman at fundraising and promoting our candidates for state office this fall? Is he working just as hard at his other position of Chairman of Louisa Republican Committee?
Go Stanley!!!!
ACI, Gilmore didn’t complain about the workload.
ACI, you are going to have a rough day on May 30.
Why do you say that tg? Stanley is running a great campaign.
