Virginia Democrat wishes possible death to Rush Limbaugh
By | Monday, May 11th, 2009 | Catch-All

From the “if a Republican said this about a Democrat, they’d be skewered” Department.

Wanda Sykes, noted Obama supporter from Portsmouth, VA and standup up comedian offered up this laugher. Wow..the comedy of this woman. I’m still just laughing to no end!

“I hope his kidneys fail,” Sykes said about Rush Limbaugh.

Isn’t that funny? People die of kidney failure, and Sykes thinks it’s funny.

“Maybe Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker”

2,740 Americans died in the September 11 attack, but it’s joke material for Sykes.

Haw Haw

“To me, that’s treason. He’s not saying anything different than Osama bin Laden was saying.” Sykes added about Limbaugh.

Wasn’t it the DEMOCRATS who talked about how patriotic disagreeing with an President was? So much for that. Disagreeing with Obama is now treason.

Funny stuff, huh?

Now let’s see if any outrage is seen from the left-controlled media who would’ve relentlessly hammered any Republican who said such things. Maybe Michael J. Fox can stand up for Rush Limbaugh and tell Wanda Sykes her comments were completely out of line.

I’m waiting.

UPDATE
The liberal Associated Press not only omits any mention of Wanda Sykes death wishes for Limbaugh and her calling him a 9-11 terrorist, but calls her tirade “a hit” and called her a “Tart-tongued comic.”

It’s easy to see which side of the political spectrum the Associated Press is Associated with.

It was the White House correspondents dinner. Yeah, what she said was inappropriate and totally ridiculous…and that was the point. Is what she said not on par with what Rush spews over the airways everyday? And he’s not even trying to be funny!

  2. Brian Kirwin May 11, 2009 12:23 pm

Joel, you listen to Rush every day?

  3. Joel McDonald May 11, 2009 12:38 pm

Of course! I would NEVER miss a word that the leader of the GOP drops!

  4. Jack May 11, 2009 13:10 pm

Well, then Joel, I’m sure you will provide us with a good Rush quote that illustrates your point. Go on, please tell us when Rush wished that someone would die.

So, is dissent no longer the highest form of patriotism?

I still don’t know who Wanda Sykes is. Well I mean I figured out she is another low-class hoodrat associates of those low-class hoodrat Obamas. But is she a celebrity? In the United States? Because it’s the first I’ve heard of her.

Good point about her sorry, sorry jokes about kidney failure and the 20th hijacker. It’s even worse that the president and first lady laughed heartily at that crap.

One of your commenters is misinformed. Rush Limbaugh is not the leader of the GOP; that person is Michael Steele. Rush Limbaugh is just a private citizen.

Lyn, how dare you attempt to use facts to dispute those on the left … it only confuses and annoys them.

Wasn’t the point of the Correspondence Dinner to roast (poke fun at) the President, not others?

I don’t agree with the positions held by most of the contributors to this site, but I enjoy it. Most posts seem to make an attempt at intellectual honesty over partisan nonsense.

This blog has positively contributed to the political dialect; both with ideas and an attempt at civility.

The one exception is this Brian Kirwin. (See above and here: http://bearingdrift.com/2009/05/05/obamas-officially-an-idiot/) He’s like a high-school kid throwing a party at his parent’s house while they are away for the weekend.

If this blog wants maintain its excellent reputation which it’s rightfully earned, get rid of this fool. At the very least make sure there is an adult keeping an eye on him.

Nice to see JT engage in the exact type of writing he complains about.

  10. JT May 12, 2009 10:00 am

No. I’m complaining about you being a complete partisan hack who’s material could be seen at any of the thousands of right wing blogs out there. I expect better here.

  11. Brian Kirwin May 12, 2009 10:39 am

Keep on namecalling and demonstrating your own hypocrisy.

By the way, it’s “whose” not “who’s” – if you insist on proving my points, please do it with correct grammar.

  12. JT May 12, 2009 16:36 pm

First, ‘partisan hack’ is simply an accurate description of you, not some wild accusation.

But the grammar defense…brilliant, way to stand up for yourself. Almost as clever as your comments in the other post which you were making penis jokes and comments about another man’s wife.

My complaint was that I expect better from ‘BearingDrift’. If the other contributors are okay with bringing this blog down to your level, have at it.

So, what you’re saying is that Brian K. was one of the cool kids?

I’m sure Brian and the rest appreciate your posting and viewing the site multiple times while you’re at it. Go ahead…….bump up those hits.
