McAuliffe and Democrat Stoney should know alot about letting air out of tires
By | Thursday, April 2nd, 2009 | Politics

In 2004, Levar Stoney, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Virginia, was responsible for a group of activists that were accused by police of slashing nearly 100 tires in the Milwaukee region. According to reports, Stoney failed to cooperate with the police investigation in order to protect the activists.

Who was the chairman of the Democratic Party in 2004 during the Kerry-Edwards campaign?

Hmm…I believe he’s running for governor in Virginia: Terry McAuliffe.

For McAuliffe to come out today and be critical of an off-the-cuff joke about letting “air out of tires” by Mike Huckabee, when his team was directly involved in a police investigation and outright vandalism, is hypocrisy at its best.

Will McAuliffe call on Stoney’s resignation? Will McAuliffe condemn Stoney for not coorperating with the police? Will McAuliffe apologize on behalf of the Democratic party for this act of vandalism?

Don’t hold your breath…this accusation is just flat.

By the way, the press secretary for McAuliffe – who refuses to answer my queries (I wonder why? — they did in January) — has a 224 area code. Why is someone from Illinois handling Chairman McAuliffe’s press? Perhaps this is just another indicator that Chairman McAuliffe would rather out-source than use Virginia resources.

Levar Stoney may also become a candidate in the 69th HoD race:

You gotta love the hubris out of Camp McAwful:

We just found out that while campaigning for Bob McDonnell, Mike Huckabee told a crowd of Republicans that if they know people who aren’t going to vote for Bob, it’s their job to “Let the air out of their tires” and “keep ‘em home.” He even called voter suppression “the Lord’s work.”

I’d say DPVA is probably spinning their tires right about now… but that’s hard to do when they’re… you know…

I guess Terry will be bussing in a load of union thugs in the run up to November! Unfortunately for the Dems this snake-oil saleman will probably be their nominee. Get ready for some truly nasty times ahead, folks.

    Huckabee’s response:

“As someone who served as a governor for 10 years, I can say if these are the type of things Terry McAuliffe worries about and make him break down and cry, then he won’t last 10 days as governor much less four years.”

Of course, not a peep about Levar Stoney and Terry McAuliffe and tire slashing. Just newspapers reprinting AP’s slanted story.

They (McAuliffe and crew) have been eerily quiet since the poll came out the other day. I can’t stand him.

Of course, the locksteppers who support McAuliffe will have righteous outrage at all the truth pouring out.

I still don’t understand why any sane politician would ever make a joke about voter suppression.

It’s not funny, and it has potential for great harm.
