State Senate Shake-up? Stolle to run for VB Sheriff?
By | Monday, March 9th, 2009 | Politics

The Virginian-Pilot is reporting that Virginia Beach Sheriff Paul Lanteigne, who most recently challenged for the GOP nomination for a Delegate seat this past January and was once rumored to be a U.S. House candidate, is not seeking re-election this year.

The Pilot is also reporting that Sen. Ken Stolle, a former police officer, is interested in running for the seat which will be elected this November.

Should Stolle run for sheriff and be elected, given Lanteigne’s interest in serving in a legislative role, it would not be surprising to see a swap.

Great positioning should he decide to run for the 2nd District Seat…
