T.C. v. Shaun Kenney…let’s get ready to RRRRUUUUMMMBLLLLLLE!
By | Monday, February 16th, 2009 | Politics

Oh, this hasn’t been brewing for awhile (deep sarcasm intended).

Looks like the latest post on TC by Loudoun Insider on Sen. Ken Cuccinelli’s military service has spilled over into a no holds barred battle royale at Shaun Kenney’s blog.

Let’s just hope both of them don’t forget they’re on the same team.

    Comical indeed. Comical indeed.

Wow, I just read the carnage.

As a Cuccinelli and Bolling fan, I’m finding yet more reason not to cast a positive vote for McDonnell. If Terry McAwful was the Dem. nominee I was thinking of voting McDonnell but, now I’m not even sure of that. A write-in seems more likely than ever.

  5. Loudoun Insider February 17, 2009 17:48 pm

That’s brilliant reasoning, Britt. Vote for a tax and spend democrat because of something a blogger said about Ken Cuccinelli. No wonder RPV is such a mess.

  6. Britt Howard February 17, 2009 20:27 pm

Tax and spend democrat…….like HRTA loving McDonnell?

Well Loudoun, or whatever your name is, there does seem to be circumstantial evidence of a connection between McDonnell and said blogger. Also, if you read what I said:

” I’m finding yet more reason not to cast a positive vote for McDonnell.”
    and

“A write-in seems more likely than ever.”

That indicates more than one reason and writing in rather than vote for a Democrat. Although,…….I might consider voting for Deeds this time unlike last time when I voted for McDonnell. However, it doesn’t look like Deeds will win the Dem. Nomination……..so……write-in is a big possibility.

McDonnell – Pro-HRTA, supporting a watered down eminent domain *cough* reform bill that did NOT protect our property rights post Kelo vs. New London(thank goodness that trash didn’t pass and we got real reform the next year courtesy of real conservatives), and a guy that would have many married couples be unconvicted felons because he wants oral sex to be a felony in Virginia. I have more reasons than unproven allegations that McDonnell is invested in sinking Cuccinelli. That just adds fuel to the fire.

Well, at least I agree with McDonnell on the smoking ban but, is that enough?

  7. Loudoun Insider February 17, 2009 23:49 pm

Deeds and Cuccinelli. Quite the combo.

  8. Britt Howard February 18, 2009 10:37 am

    You forgot Bolling!

Now, you go figure why somebody would be a strong supporter of both Bill Bolling for Lt. Gov. and Cuccinelli for Att. General and NOT be a big fan of McDonnell(even considering a vote for conservative democrat Deeds if he gets nominated other wise a write-in).

If you figure why a strong supporter of Bolling and Cuccinelli would feel it necessarry to write-in a vote for Gov. then you just might be able to save the RPV. The GOP is resting on a rotting foundation. I would suggest that Republicans repair that foundation before everything it supports comes tumbling down. Have there not been enough lost seats yet?

I love these “conservatives” who need every Republican candidate to pass their Ivory 99 44/100 % test of purity, but don’t mind in the least if they wind up helping Democrats win – Democrats whom they probably agree with 10% of the time.

  10. Britt Howard February 18, 2009 12:18 pm

Wow, that’s a high percentage of agreement there, Brian. A bit inaccurate too.

McDonnell didn’t just disagree with me on core issues, he took aggressive leadership roles in opposition.

Brian, I wonder what litmus test McDonnell holds Cuccinelli to? If he is indeed trying to sink Cuccinelli then, McDonnell would fit your discription of helping Democrats. Although,……….McDonnell agrees with democrats more than 10% of the time.

  11. Brian Kirwin February 18, 2009 14:46 pm

Britt, which one? Is 10% too high of an agreement between you and the Democrats you wind up helping? Probably.

I really don’t care if elected officials agree with each other. If Cuccinelli wins the nomination, he and McDonnell will be walking around like they went to kindergarten together. Certainly you aren’t foolish enough to believe all this nonsense drama that some bloggers think is important, only because they’re the ones dumb enough to take the bait and write about it.

I’ll never understand why fringe conservatives/libertarians love to attack people closer to them on the political spectrum than they ever will attack the other side. I think it’s because it’s the only time any pays any attention to them.
