It is still stupid. The fact that Griffith's e-mail appears to be trying to absolve JF of misjudgment appears to dispel the implication in the post that Griffith was setting up JF for a fall. But the most benign explanation for Frederick and Griffith is that neither of them has any sense or judgement. The next level scenario is that Frederick just couldn't contain himself, a trait not prized among skilled political leaders. Does it matter whether Griffith encouraged JF or JF did it spontaneously? DUe to these differences he was willing to vote with the republicans to establish a power sharing on two committees.
