Rasmussen: McDonnell has high favorables
By | Thursday, February 5th, 2009 | Politics

A Rasmussen poll released today shows Bob McDonnell with an advantage over his other gubernatorial competitors not only in the horse race (which is way too early), but in the all important favorable ranking.

According to the poll, McDonnell leads Democrat Brian Moran by as little as three points and Democrat Creigh Deeds by as many as nine points (they were tired just two months ago). Chairman McAuliffe trails by seven.

However, most interesting, are those who see the attorney general favorably.

McDonnell has hit the 50% favorable mark – a key figure in trying to determine a candidates viability; whereas his opponents don’t surpass 34% (McAuliffe).

It’s still early – with lots of undecided voters – but this is clearly a good sign for McDonnell.

    Go Bob! Keep it up.

It’s great to see an anti-gun Republican leading in the polls — finally.

Virginians for Gun Control is behind you all the way, and will make sure all Virginians know that you proudly stand with gun-control advocates all across Virginia!!
