Coulter says what has to be said regarding inauguration
By JR Hoeft | Wednesday, January 21st, 2009 | PolicyIn Ann Coulter’s latest column, she unabashedly (I think I could start every reference to a Coulter column this way) says what was on every conservative’s mind yesterday. Here’s a sample:
It will be replaced by the new question for conservatives on every liberal’s lips these days: Do you want Obama to succeed as president?
Answer: Of course we do. We live here, too.
But merely to ask the question is to imply that the 60 million Americans who did not vote for Obama are being unpatriotic if they do not wholeheartedly endorse his liberal agenda.
I guess it depends on the meaning of “succeed.” If Obama “succeeds” in pushing through big-government, terrorist-appeasing policies, he will not have “succeeded” at being a good president. If we didn’t think conservative principles of small government and strong national defense weren’t better for the country, we wouldn’t be conservatives.

If you are pointing to Ann Coulter as being a representative voice for Conservatives I think you are pointing towards why conservatives/Republicans have been having such poor election results recently. Just my opinion.
Perhaps you are only pointing towards Ann to shore up your standing amongst the base on this blog?
Its a rather twist fo fate that we are now to hop on board for “patriotic” reasons and are supposed to forget that at every turn the liberals sought not merely to undermine Bush but to destroy the man. I think most conservatives have the belief system of respecting the office, you know You Salute the Rank not the Man kinda thing. We will see I guess.
