Virginia’s gang of four?
By JR Hoeft | Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 | PolicyA new bipartisan commission is being formed by Republican State Senators Jill Vogel and Richard Stuart and Democrats from Hampton Roads John Miller and Ralph Northam, according to WaPo’s “Virginia Politics.”
Will this gang of four (The Commonwealth Caucus) be Virginia’s version of the former U.S. Senate’s “gang of fourteen”.
Vogel says:
“While I will not compromise my conservative beliefs, I am committed to the three core positions of this caucus. Our mission is to combat the gridlock that we faced last session and our new caucus will now make the difference on these key votes.”
Looks like these guys could be this year’s powerbrokers…aka – the swing voters.
