Special election today for delegate
By JR Hoeft | Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 | PoliticsIn Alexandria and Skyline today, a special election is being held to fill the House of Delegates-vacancy made when former Del. Brian Moran stepped down to focus on his gubernatorial bid.
Joe Murray, a Republican vying for the 46th District seat, has had a robust campaign and is surprising many people with his competitiveness.
But, in very “blue” Alexandria, can he win? Certainly some hope so.
