Chairman McAuliffe and his money-bag machine
On Jan. 7, former DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe will likely announce his candidacy for Virginia governor. In today’s Washington Post, Tim Craig examines the impact of the Chairman on Virginia politics.
My favorite part is how McAuliffe is soliciting $5 donations to build his contact list and make it look like he’s got popular support. My second favorite part is where Brian Moran says to McAuliffe that Virginia is not for sale.
Bottom-line: McDonnell is going to need every dime. Let’s hope Republicans out of state see it that way too.

Not only is Terry McAullife raising a lot of money, but he is also trying to cast himself as a moderate! The truth is that he is a Clinton Democrat who will not get Virginia’s spending problems under control. He may not raise taxes, however, if he keeps on spending to create jobs and education, without creating the conditions to ensure results we will go farther into debt.
There is nothing wrong with being a Clinton Democrat. Under Clinton we pushed forward towards a balanced budget.
After Clinton we got into complete Republican control and nothing that any sane person would call a balanced budget.
The question that I have is will he take the Clinton position on gun control or will he take the Mark Warner position on gun control. He has been on his listening tour talking about being a moderate on abortion and taxes. I think that he is a very smart. It just seems to me that he going to be more liberal than Gov. Warner was.

newsgroups as you can. Remember the more groups you post to, the more

Step 4.
