Essay Contest: Ordered Chaos vs. Chaotic Order
By Amit Singh | Saturday, December 13th, 2008 | Catch-AllI’m gonna try something new. Hope everyone participates:
What: Essay Contest
Topic: Which do you prefer? Ordered Chaos or Chaotic Order. You can define what those mean to you.
Prize: 25 new scratch-off Virginia lottery tickets mailed to you (value $0 – $??,???)
Judge: me of course!
Length: less than 500 words
Due Date: December 20 – but don’t paste your essays on this thread. I will post again on the 19th or 20th and you can post your essays there.
I think it would be interesting to get the mindset of some of our friends who post on this blog on a more theoretical level. And those who know me will back me up as someone who is very fair even if I don’t agree or like you!

So you looking for a compare/ contrast type argument, pick one and go with it, or you leaving it completely open?
I would prefer a compare/contrast type argument.
Oh come on, you’ll put up a thread on the 19th or maybe the 20th with a due date of the 20th? You kind of sound like some of the professors my kids have in college.
Even this unedumacated truck driver might enter. But my entry will be unorthodox. Perhaps it will be worth a giggle or two from you engineers.
well my father is a college professor so maybe that’s where I get it from. but you have all the information you need to write the essay. I just didn’t want people posting early and then others copying their ideas. from some of the conversations I’ve had already I think there will be some pretty cool entries. everything from traffic patterns to artistic styles. looking forward to your entry.
