Mardi Gras in DC?
By | Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 | Catch-All

Looks like Inauguration week is going to be a little crazier than expected with the help of the DC Council which voted to move last call to 5AM. It’s a little hard for me to hang out till 3AM anymore much less 5AM but I’m sure many of our visitors will be ready to party all night long. What I find interesting is that the DC Council realizes if they relax the rules that the businesses in DC will make more money. So why not make this change permanent?

On a side note, rumor has it that had McCain won the election the DC Council was going to extend the early bird special to 5PM.

Hmmm. Maybe I’ll make my way up there after all. That’s like…three extra drinking hours!

The reason we have a 2 AM closing hour for bars and taverns is because we want the drunks off the road by morning rush hour.
