Presidential Inauguration
By | Sunday, November 9th, 2008 | Catch-All

So, I was reviewing my Facebook account and see that a few of my friends will be attending the inauguration festivities; it led me to wonder aloud, in the presence of the chairwoman for BD ethics and norms, why I wasn’t invited.

To wit, the gentlewoman replied, “You wouldn’t have been invited if McCain was elected, so what are you worrying about?”

Ah…it’s wonderful to be married to a girl from Philly.

Of course, she concluded by saying, “Does Obama have so few friends that he is inviting people you know?”

Ugh.

Had McCain won, I would have had a better than even chance of going, but now, I am seriosly wondering if I will get an invite…

the hotels up here are apparently booked solid and folks are renting out their apartments and condos for $500/night. hmmm, maybe I’ll have to find a place to crash.

2 days after the election Senator Webb’s office has already had thousands of request for tickets. His office can only get 500. Also People are calling and going in the Virgil Goodes’ office for tickets as well. Bet those people didn’t even support him and now they want his office to do something for them.

Hey I say they have better things to do. Like things for the Veterans, People having problems withe Medicare or Medicaid. or what is really important.
