According to Larry Sabato then, we need not fear a Democratic super majority in the Senate. If Democrats are going to get their way it is only going to be by picking off a few moderate Republicans. This goes without saying that many of the new Democrats are moderate to conservative themselves.
I just enjoy thinking about this.
Moderate (still conservative) Republicans were described as RINO’s (Republican in Name Only). Guys like Rush Limbaugh said we were not welcome in the Republican Party because we were not (by their/his definition) conservative enough.
OK, if that is the choice we are faced with, what party is left for us to vote for?
The Republican either needs to marginalize the likes of Rush Limbaugh or accept they are the small tent party.
Even with all the newly registered voter totals, NOVA still only increased its percentage of the vote by about one perccent in half to someowhere near 33% with the largest number of new voters being registered apparently in Arlington County as of the last week of voter registration. Areas like Chesterfield County that traditionally lean Republican saw nice increases in the voter rolls as well so it is hard to tell whether that is more Republicans or previously unvoting Democrats. It hard to really tell, but many new residents to Chesterfield and the suburbs of Richmond at large are arriving from Michigan and Ohio as a result of the job market so it could go either way in terms of these new voters in terms of allegiances.
Oh My Gop!
The golden bull thing is hillarious!!!!
The big question for my kids tonight is which yard signs give the best and the most candy?
