Obama / McCain On the Issues
By | Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 | Politics

So, Obama is buying a 30 minute infomercial. McCain/ Palin are touring the country. The media are highlighting their favorite issues (Palin wardrobe; Obama’s race).

Don’t you wish you could just cut through the spin and get a good idea of what the candidates have said & done on the issues?

Now you can (for just 29.95 – I’m kidding; lighten up, already).

Grassfire.org has a very well done side by side comparison of the candidate’s “Quotes & Votes” on the issues.

Check it out!

At first i thought, “Hey this looks like an interesting idea. A side by side lineup, simple and unbiased.” The very first one (On Being President) made me realize my error. Anyone who takes Obama’s “beam of light” quote at face value instead of recognizing the obvious self-deprecating nature is definitely pushing an agenda. A quick poke around the site pretty much confirms it. From the FAQ page:

In just a short time, Grassfire.org has already become one of the most innovative and impactful online, conservative (emphasis added) organizations in the country – all because of citizens like you. We are grassroots to the core – everything we do depends on concerned citizens taking action.

Ah well, it was a nice thought anyway.

    It’s hardly conservative.

    It’s heavily NEOCON.

Total shite. Oh well. I’ll stick to realclearpolitics and factcheck.org
