Obama’s Inspirational Message
By Jason Kenney | Monday, October 20th, 2008 | PoliticsObama seems to have inspired some people to do some awfully hopeful things including assault, vandalism, tire slashing (sorry, deflating, we’re not talking about the DPVA’s own Levar Stoney here), and even firing upon the McCain/Palin Straight Talk Express. You know for a fact that had an Obama supporter been assaulted like this or an Obama bus fired upon it’d be headlines.
For every time you hear an asinine statement from someone on the Left calling for the McCain campaign to stop their hateful message and condemn every single action of their supporters remember this: NO PARTY IS IMMUNE TO CRAZY PEOPLE.
Some have certainly gone farther than others this year, though.

Democrats embrace their nuts. Republicans expel theirs.
You’ll not see me denying craziness on either side. And yes, it’s growing, no doubt. My question for you is this: what statements have been made by the Obama campaign that would likely incite violence against McCain or his supporters? What message that would tap visceral feelings of hatred and anger and direct them at Republicans (words like terrorist and anti-American)? Until the flap over Rep Lewis’ recent remarks, I can’t think of any.
You mean like this? “Someone slashed the tires of at least 30 vehicles parked outside the Crown Coliseum on Sunday during a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, authorities said.” (http://www.fayobserver.com/article?id=307949).
I don’t think either campaign likes their radicals committing illicit acts, and neither would say anything to encourage those actions. But if you look at Obama’s supporters, you see lots of questionable tactics.
Obama surrogates insinuated that Bill Clinton is racist. Barry’s pastor has said a number of things that would enrage a majority of Americans, but no McCain supporter has vandalized the church (to my knowledge). Michelle and Barry have made many anti-American comments.
Democrats in general coddle criminals by seeking to kill embryos while preserving the life of killers. Liberals seek Constitutional rights for illegal aliens and for terrorist who seek to destroy our way of life.
Barry also furthers class warfare saying the rich are not paying their fair share, and promises tax cuts for 95% of Americans (and Rove is divisive!). Democrats trash oil companies for making a profit (legal once upon a time in America), but this is not hateful speech. Liberal community organizers falsely register people to vote. Unions and Barry want to take away secret ballot voting when it refers to unions—a right evil Republicans want to preserve.
McCain is a lot of things, but he has been much quicker than Obama to denounce his supporters who said or did things McCain felt were hurtful. If Obama were a Republican his campaign might be given a clever name such as “Culture of Corruption.” Luckily he is of the right political persuasion.
So, Barry has not directly said anything to incite violence. Some of his supporters are smart enough to read between the lines.
Who’s Barry?
Republican’s expel their nuts? Did Republicans expel or embrace the Swift Boat Veterans?
The grass is always wackier…
In all honesty, happens from both fringes ALL THE TIME. What should concern us is that it doesn’t affect the more tolerant among us, or that it be given immense press coverage to the point where there is a backlash against either candidate.
I just heard about folks being berated in NC for early voting. EARLY VOTING! All they were doing is participating in democracy and there are people shouting insults at them from across the street, including some clown who used to be a NHL MVP.
Come on people, come together here.
