Liberal Associated Press and Glenn Nye
By | Sunday, October 19th, 2008 | Uncategorized

Associated Press writer Larry O’Dell could get a job reviewing movies he hasn’t seen.

Because that’s the only excuse I could give him for writing this:

“Nye is a dynamic speaker”

Milk would’ve shot out my nose. Dynamic???? Ya gotta be kidding me. I’ve seen Nye speak several times, and seen him on TV (yeah, avoiding a question seven times).

Dynamic???? Larry, please tell me you’ve never seen Nye speak. That way, you’re just misinformed and not either pathetically biased (dynamic IS an opinion, which “news” isn’t supposed to have, right?) or lacking in judgment.

Dynamic? Maybe spellcheck changed it from “anemic.”

About the author

Brian Kirwin

The right wants to jeer him. The left wants to censor him. Moderates usually want both. Brian Kirwin is a political consultant and public relations strategist in Virginia Beach with a lightning-rod flair. Brian also serves on the VB Arts & Humanities Commission and frequently appears on Hampton Roads theatrical stages, if only to prove that all actors aren’t liberals. Kirwin’s columns stir up debate and hit the political scene with no punches pulled.

Yeah, but Glenn Nye does not want to raise my taxes by about $5,000 a year like Thelma wants to do.

Thelma wants to raise my taxes so that she can give the likes of Paris Hilton a taxcut.

Unfortunately Nye isn’t a dynamic speaker. He’s had a lot of experiences which I feel would make him a better representative of the 2nd district, but he really isn’t very eloquent.

LittleDi, be patriotic and pay more taxes, sayeth Joe Biden.

Joel, thanks for the affirmation. I was going crazy,

You republicans must realize your policies suck because you NEVER talk about them.

  5. Brian Kirwin October 19, 2008 17:13 pm

    Democrats do…only AFTER THE ELECTION.

    Hi mark warner.

  6. LittleDavid October 19, 2008 18:00 pm

    Brian,

I’m willing to pay more taxes to balance the budget. I am unwilling to do it to give Paris Hilton more money to party with.

Thelma wants me to give my tax dollars to Paris.

  7. Brian Kirwin October 19, 2008 18:24 pm

LD, have you seen Obama’s spending platform? More taxes from you aren’t balancing any budget.

As I told J.R., you’re welcome to use any of my political photos but you have to credit me by name. I won’t even make you link to a liberal blog. Just a name.

I make my living as a lawyer *and* a photographer. My name is my currency.

    Thanks.

Stephanie…I just got in front of the computer to see this post. We’ll make sure the appropriate credit is displayed. Thanks for pointing it out.

  11. Brian Kirwin October 20, 2008 03:41 am

    Problem solved.

Except for the AP still being biased.

  12. LittleDavid October 20, 2008 09:16 am

    Brian,

From what I have heard, John McCain’s tax and spending proposals would increase the national debt by 4 trillion over the next… what was the exact period… I think it was 10 years.

Barack Obama’s proposals would increase the national debt by “only” 3.4 trillion over the same period.

Seems both of these guys are promising to be fiscally irresponsible in their campaigns. So you can not poke fun at Barack without being honest and admitting your candidate (I would imagine that is John McCain) is any better on the issue.

  13. Brian Kirwin October 20, 2008 10:40 am

LD, just for my amusement, how are Obama’s proposals not “tax and spend.”

  14. LittleDavid October 20, 2008 12:22 pm

    Brian,

For your amusement, how are John McCain’s proposals not “taxcut and spend”?

  15. Brian Kirwin October 20, 2008 13:01 pm

If we did what Obama and Mark Warner won’t, and that’s take back ownership of our energy future, we’d have tons of revenue kicking around.

  16. LittleDavid October 20, 2008 13:10 pm

We’ll keep increasing the deficit if we keep cutting taxes while we increase spending.

  17. Brian Kirwin October 20, 2008 13:42 pm

    Then cut spending

  18. LittleDavid October 20, 2008 13:48 pm

    Brian,

Then stop cutting taxes until you cut the spending,.

  19. Brian Kirwin October 20, 2008 15:04 pm

I wish someone would cut some spending. Obama’s not interested.

  20. Lawyer Mama October 20, 2008 23:26 pm

    Thanks, all.

    I won’t even touch the “liberal AP” comment with a ten foot poll. (-;

  21. LittleDavid October 21, 2008 10:09 am

    Brian,

We’ve tried cutting taxes without cutting spending (and actually spending increased). That did not work, it only led to an expanding deficit.

We’ve got some catching up to do. Decrease spending before we cut taxes by even another dime. This is what I prefer, not what is being proposed by either candidate.

Now neither candidate is promising to do this. However McCain is slightly ahead of Obama in the rush towards fiscal irresponsibility by proposing steps that would increase the deficit by 4 trillion compared to Obama’s 3.4 trillion dollar increase. Meanwhile I think I am much more apt to personally benefit from Barack’s proposals compared to John’s.

Hey, if we’re going to flush the American economy down the toilet at least I should get my share of the lard being doled out while it is happening!

  22. Brian Kirwin October 21, 2008 12:06 pm

If you think Obama’s spending projections are correct, I have a bridge to sell ya.

  23. LittleDavid October 21, 2008 12:18 pm

I might buy that bridge it you sell it at a discount.

Non-partisan economists have said that John McCain’s proposals are even worse.
