Is ACORN Scaring Off Obama Supporters?

As more and more questions pop up concerning ACORN and its practicies, some Barack Obama supporters are growing increasingly concerned on the issue:
And more. These are just from Barack Obama’s own social network. How many more are there out there waivering as this issue grows? Especially since this hits right at his “community organizer” days, time he spent working for ACORN. If people don’t trust ACORN, what are they to think of Obama?

I do find it concerning. But, the fact is that Acorn is an independent organization - which employed thousands of individuals in this effort. Individuals are flawed, so I guess I’m disappointed, but not surprised.
The important thing is that the state registration system worked, and the states caught those illegal registrations. Though, I think they do need to keep checking.
Voter Fraud in America!! I’m shocked, Shocked I tell you!
Then again, I guess the Acorn people figure it might just balance out all the pre-program Diebolt voting machines that don’t give you a paper receipt.
I don’t know if you want to push the whole voter fraud issue too hard it might end up biting McCain in the butt.
You don’t have to search very hard to find a lot of voting machine “software problems”.

Elections officials find, fix glitch that could have affected NM presidential race tally

SANTA FE, N.M. - A glitch that would have kept votes from being counted in the presidential and other top-of-the-ticket races was discovered during a pre-election check of a voting machine in Santa Fe County, officials said.
I wonder if I could get a bunch of voter registration forms and write the Christian Coalition for America at the top and put whatever mumbo jumbo I want on them. Then I could make it blantently obvious by using the same hand writing and using crazy names like Mickey Mouse and Businesses, so that it would be noticed and then have everyone thinking that the the Christian Coalition for America is trying to cause voter Fraud. Bam…October surprise..and Obama wins!!! Yeah…think I’ll try that.
It will be curious to see if this shows up in the polls in the next few days.
Do not be concerned…. For ever one Obama supporter scared off, ACORN has register 26 others.. Well, one person, just 26 times, but in Obama-Land, that is worth 26 votes!

Golly gee… Not in Ohio. The DEMOCRAT Secretary of State has won an appeal to not be forced to validate registrations, or release data to Counties so they could based on the fact that she argued it would be too hard… She claimed it would take a WHOLE 3 DAYS…
Don’t worry Dems, your party has Ohio stolen for you. Oh and before you babble about the voting machines here… they are Dem approved and have paper trails…

For these bogus registrations, some actually has to show up and VOTE to actually influence an election. All states require ID on initial voting after a new or changed registration, and half of the states require an ID every time (including Virginia). Do you honestly think there are massive productions of fake IDs for voting being produced, and people lining up to commit a felony and be openly challenged to scam a single vote?
You can’t photo ID an absentee, new or not. And I have never been asked for my ID when voting, first time, new address, ever.
Jason, good point on absentee, not sure why that didn’t occur to me. As for ID, I haven’t been asked either, but then I always walk up with my VA voter card in hand and present it when i state my name.
The right is calling from it’s usual Karl Rove playbook: try to suppress poor and minority voter turnout with fear and attacks.
FYI, my righty friends, just because a name is registered to vote, it’s not the same thing as someone voting. I know, facts and truth get in the way of your Stalinist propaganda, but there is such at thing as truth (now, if only someone would share that with Fox “news”).
Seriously, does the right a) care at all about democracy in this nation? and moreover, b) have any actual IDEAS in this election? Other than anger, the GOP hasn’t offerred us ANYTHING.
FYI, I vote in Michigan (military registration), and when I haven’t voted absentee, Michigan has always required me to provide an ID which was then compared to the roll of registered voters.
to mark: nice try but I think we all know that it is the democrats who try this stuff every election. There is NO ID requirement in many states to cast a vote because Dems keep saying this is unfair to those with no ID. NO ID are you kidding? I dont buy that for a second, who cant / wont get an ID? how do they drive a car, cash a check, enter a federal building, get a bank account, open a blockbuster account, or any of thousands and thousands of things that even the most poor do? That right they do it with an ID. I work in a profession that requires me to check IDs everyday and it is my experience that even the most poor among us have IDs. Everyone should have some form of gov. issued ID, and should be required to present it to register to vote and to actually vote, and should be required to photo copy it and send it with the ballot if voting absentee. Bottom line should be No ID NO REGISTER and NO VOTE. So yeah go ahead and keep spouting off the Dem lines of voter suppression. Guess it doesnt matter to you how many times someone votes as long as your guy wins right? Way to subvert democracy you must be proud. (oh and to the idiot that made the comment about Diebold the machines have a paper trail and the Election board is controlled by a democRAT)
I think there is a point you are all forgetting, Acorn was deeply involved with the subprime mortgage mess, so was democrat barey frank, chris dodd and the number three guy in only two years, ta dah obama!!
They screwed this country, so that they can drag it into the socialist wet dream, wake up america, they want to tax heavily anyone making over 200,000 meaning if you own a small business you are screwed, that in itself keeps everyone down to what they consider equal level, eliminating the middle class they so mockingly embrace.
We have been had by obama, ayers, wright and pelosi, dodd and frank and farrakahaun. They want to rip this country apart simply because they hate it.
