WAVY-TV 10 asked Glenn Nye 7 times
By | Friday, October 3rd, 2008 | Politics

Ask Glenn Nye a yes or no question, and you may have to ask him 7 times before you get something close to an answer. WAVY-TV 10 had to about the bailout bill.

Seven times, WAVY.com tried to nail down Nye on how he would have voted and seven times Nye refused to answer yes or no. “You’re asking me a hypothetical,” he said.
“You aren’t answering yes or no,” we pressed.

Brave Nye took some time, probably to borrow an advisor’s coin to flip, and in a second interview proclaimed he probably would’ve voted the way Thelma Drake did. WAVY also has a video where he’s for and against drilling offshore.

Nye is starting to make Phil Kellam look like a good candidate.

Don’t be so mean to Nye… Kellam would be a bad candidate for Student Council at Kellam High School.

And how dare WAVY ask Nye how will do anything? I mean, why should voters chose someone based on their beliefs.

His answer should be honest, “Whatever Nancy Pelosi would tell me to do”

    ;-)

I could not watch the whole thing. It was too painful. I bet Nye killed the consultant that told Nye ‘no matter how many times Fox asks you don’t answer the question.” I bet after he watched the story Nye drove back to his sister’s house, climbed in his bunk bed and cried himself to sleep.

This is “Gutter” politics at it’s best. I am suprised and disappointed that this station would join in this “shark”-hunt reporting. Rise about the easy low-life attack
style. This world needs to be more civil in all that we do. Andy Fox does
not surprise me. When he had his drunk driving problems, I don’t recall
him being attacked by shark reporters. The sad thing is that he could have killed someone, and the attack on Glenn Nye was about how he would have voted IF he were in Congress. Well the question is ” Andy how would you have felt if YOU had killed someone. Shame, shame on
you Andy Fox and shame on you Wavy for running this “Ad”. This is why “Good ” people don’t
want to run for elected office. Raise the “Gutter” attack politics, it is a turn-
    off. Shame, Shame, Shame.

Just a brief explaination. First I want to thank you for taking the time to read this very urgent message from my heart to yours. Growing up I made irresponsible decisions which I have little excuse for; with that being said, I have been blessed with six children, Giovanni-25/ Damelia-24/ Irene-22/ Braxton-21/ KathyJoe-19/ Miracle-3. Excepting my responsibility as their mother, I made a risky choice by driving on suspended license so that I could work to feed my children. Although I should have made a more mature decision by getting my license, at the time I thought only of my children not myself. Seven years ago I was sentenced to five years in Matthews County, I was only to do 14 months. When I completed my time in prison and returned home I was blessed with a miracle my baby Miracle. When she was born she suffered many birth defects; just last year she had to undergo partial open heart surgery, it was successful. She has to undergo two more open heart procedures/surgeries. On November 08, 2006 I was evicted from Jeffrey Wilson Homes, a Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing project. The deputy sheriff was removing my personal belongings and in the process he removed Miracle’s medicine. As he was walking out the door I went towards him to ask for the medicine back because her medicine is very important. One of his fellow co-workers, another deputy, saw me walking towards him and without questioning she slammed me down on the concrete sidewalk. The court found me guilty of “Obstruction of Justice.” I only had two months of probation left, and the entire probation period I never got in trouble for anything, except for this one issue. When Matthew’s County saw the charge they violated me, without much contact I didn’t find out until two years after the charge in Portsmouth that I had a warrant out for my arrest in Matthew’s County. When I turned myself in on the 5th of December 2008 I was later sentenced on the 10th of December 2008 to 6 months jail time with 3 1/2 years probation. I have learned from my pass decisions but I honestly need to be home with my daughter Miracle because she misses me and I sincerely miss her and my other five children. They need me home; I have been denied a bound/bail. I pray that you would please grant me a “Pardon” Please! And if it is all the same for you, I would love to spend Christmas as well as the new year with my children. Please have mercy on me. Thank You!
