When the Senators offi ces are flooded with calls overwhelming opposed to the bad bill and the Seante passes it anyway, for whom are they actaully working?

I spoke with Senator Webbs staffers yesterday when I called to let my Senator know that I wanted him to voite “No.” to the pork laden bail out bill.

I was told that his office recieved a huge number of calls, with only a hand full asking for a “yes” vote.

I got an answering manch when I called Senator Warner’s office. I left a message.

Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, an independent who’s a self-described socialist, said the rescue was fundamentally unfair.

“The masters of the universe, those brilliant Wall Street insiders who have made more money than the average American can even dream of, have brought our financial system to the brink of collapse,” Sanders said, and are demanding that the middle class “pick up the pieces that they broke.”

I wonder if Gilmore was in Warner’s place. Would the vote total been different? I haven’t heard a thing that would tell me.

Troubling. When the Senate is doing their monthly outrage against the American people, isn’t this a good time for Gilmore to stand up for the taxpayers? Or am I missing something here?

I would love to hear from him why he voted no.
