I don’t know how to feel about that.

Obviously something needs to be done. But handing Paulson $700B with no strings attached and no real explanation as to what he’s going to do with it is unexceptable.

I hate to quote the morons on TV, but Lou Dobbs just outlined my biggest problem with the whole situation.

“The American people have been given no reason to trust one word that we hear from the elected officials in Washington, both democrate and republic.”

My other problem is the jackasses (I mean The Fed, Congressional commitee members, etc…) who should have been monitoring the economy want to turn the whole problem over to the people who caused the problem.

I’m leaning more and more towards letting the whole system crash.

Theres something very liberating about not owning anything you can’t buy with cash.

    Did I just hear right?

The Democrates are lining up behind Bush and even after Cheney made the rounds, the Rebublicans are thwarting his efforts.

Is life as we know it over?

I’m thinking maybe we’ve got the wrong folks working on this situation. Maybe instead of Paulson and Bernanke, Bush would do better to bring in Gail Kimball, current head of the US Forest Service.

This adminstration has been a strong promoter of controlled burns to help minimize forest fire threats. Maybe a little less prevention and little more burn is just what we need right now.

And Frenchy, i know what you mean. I keep expecting to hear Rod Serling’s voice in my ear – “That’s the signpost up ahead…”

Is life over? Seems like more of the same to me…
