I'm just curious, what's with the interest in what celebrities have to say on... well.. damn near anything? And not just Pink or Lindsay, but Britney or anyone else too.

I'm not saying they shouldn't weigh in, but why does the American public care? Certainly we wouldn't be hearing about it if the overwhelming majority of Americans didn't give a rip.

So then... we do care... but why? Some certainly like to use the comments as a divining rod for or against a cause, but to me it's just another person making a case. I'm all for public discourse, but I see the word of a celebrity no more important than your word or mine. And like us, they're certainly entitled to their word, and to share it with whomever will listen.

Right you are, EJ. After Pink's defense of wolves, she said "I can't imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade."

And the other thing i find ironic, is that the groups that are running adds about how palin supports the practice of hunting wolves by airplanes (hence the Pink reference) and attacking her on how cruel a practice this is are the same people who think its perfectly ok to rip the limbs off of a conscience 9 month developed fetus of a HUMUN. Aparently hunting an animal is too much, but an almost fully developed baby is ok.

Ive never quite understaood why hillary is such a favorite amongst the feminist circles. She owes her entire political career to being attached to her husband through the governorship and then the white house. She won a senate seat entirely based on that name and association with him. She has gone on to have a short senate career that isnt particuarly distinguished (can anyone tell me one thing shes done int he senate of any import off the top of their head?). And now she just ran a presidential campaign off of the premice of being experienced, which is complete based on that fact of being married to a guy who used to be in the whitehouse.
