Thank you, George W. Bush for having the guts to do what is right and fight a Democratic Congress who opposed you for no other reason than your party affiliation The Democrats sought to exploit the unpopularity of the war for no other reason than political gain.

Thank you for realizing that while war is not popular, you did what was right to protect both us and the people of Iraq. Thank you because while one party claims it fights for the little man, you actually took a stand for the little men and women in Iraq when that party wanted to abandon those people.

Thank you for taking a chance and failing in some areas and then having the courage to regroup and work with others to organize a successful Surge. Some think it is a weakness to fail, but you knew we fail only when we fail to act to correct injustice.

Thank you most of all for sacrificing your poll numbers to do what you thought was right. And thanks to your steadfastness. You showed at least some of us that Democrats in Congress put their party's interest ahead of the interests of this country and in front of the interests of democracy and freedom abroad.

Thank you for keeping us safe and for siding with the American people and not with the terrorists.

And this is also the guy who has destroyed the modern conservative movement and done more for the cause of big spending, big regulating, nationalizing, individual liberty destroying, large government then anyone else since Lydon Johnson. It infurates me that he claims the banner of conservatism, and even more so that the general public associates all that he has done wrong with conservatism. He is no conservative; he is a Dixiecrat. Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan are rolling over in their graves.

I totally disagree.

We should be thanking the men and women at the FBI, CIA, DoD and State Departments for prevent further attacks "in spite" of GW.

He made their jobs exponencially harder by creating the situation which filled the ranks of terrorist organizations around the world.

So no, he won't be getting my thanks today or any other.

On today more than any other day, i agree.

Thank you president Bush for going after those responsible for 9/11, Osama Bin Laden and his allies the Taliban in Afghanistan. It may have been all downhill from there, but that was one of your best decisions, and the resulting disruption to Al-Qaeda has contributed to keeping America safe.
