I just want to know what happened to James Dobson and the Southern Baptists who all opposed Hillary – because she was out of the home, etc. They all seem to have a double standard… (or the usual GOP standard…).

I know I am, but so are you!! Very adult.

Actually, I think Southern Baptist and Dobson had a lot more against Hillary than what you propose.

Hillary and Palin are very different creatures which is very clear.

I don’t hate Hillary, but Palin is far better. Mother of four who chooses to have a Downs baby instead of aborting it. And that is just scratching the surface of her character as a mother and woman.

Anyone who then questions her commitment as a mother is just pure evil.

    Good point, Mark (eyes roll)

I love when Dems get what they preach, the attack it. I am sure if a Republikcan came out in favor of abortions for all, Dems would work day and night to ever turn Roe v. Wade

    :-)

    Duck, I’m offended.

The actual line is “I know you are, but what am I?”

Mark’s like those Democrat commentators who are sarcastic EVERY NIGHT and criticize Palin for being sarcastic.

When the “insiders” say the speech was “too inside” i switched the channel.

What’s next? Biden going to debate Palin on childbirth?

But Squeaky, that is exactly what’s happening on both sides. I never hear us Republicans even coming close to talking about what the party stands for along the lines of its own creed. For quite a while now, it’s been win at all costs… even the cost of America.

    Brian,
I know I took a little liberty with the quote, but with CHANGE being the name of the game this go round, I changed it a little to fit Mark. You notice he didn’t deny that Dems were hypocritcal, he just said so are Republicans, so the real quote didn’t fit the situation.

If you notice, I didn’t put quotes around the statement.

Maybe I should just go back to movie quotes.

It really is amazing to watch how y’all can change your supposed standards just to fit the political winds of the moment.

Oh, and please tell me when someone in the GOP is going to talk about some issues? Does the GOP really only have attack and anger left? It’s getting a little sad.

  8. Brian Kirwin September 5, 2008 06:17 am

Funny, Mark, when you posted under another name, all you ever posted was “attack and anger”

  9. SicSemperTyrannus September 8, 2008 08:21 am

Oh yes, Mark. Like “hope” and “change” are issues? The GOP actually stands for lowering taxes, reducing the size of government, and appointing judges who will be guided by the U.S. Constitution and case law instead of emanations from penumbra.
