Protesters attack a Republican Attending the Convention.
I am not sure what is worse… The violent protest or the lack of surprise on my part. These are the “enlightened” ones who know better and want peace…

Where is the outrage? Where are the calls from the left for calm? Can you imagine if ONE single Democrat was even LOOKED at wrong, to say nothing of physically ATTACKED in Denver? Can you imagine the enormous outcry from Obama fans the media?!?!? In this case, it is an “oh, by the way” story.

  1. Scott says:

“If you succumb to the temptation of using violence in the struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an endless reign of meaningless chaos.”
    -Martin Luther King jr,

I hate to use a quote to prove my point, but is this what the Democrats and the media have come to? Disgusting. Obviously the party of “acceptance” needs to attend anger management classes.

  2. Mark says:

I’m outraged. Seriously, protesting is fine. Go to it, that’s what the First Amendment is all about – but no one gave you the right to attack anyone with violence. It’s irritating, it’s unAmerican, and it’s annoying – and, obtw, it doesn’t accomplish anything (but then, there are probably more than a few of these kids who are just Anarchists and don’t want to accomplish anything anyway).

FYI, I’m also let down by your bias towards the Democratic Party. These people are not Democrats, they are apolitical idiots, and thus there is no reason for Obama or anyone in the Democratic party to decry them – so please stop trying to plaster any moron you disagree with with the label Democrat.

  3. Mark,

I understand, but I did not see any of this at the DNC and I would say to you that is ANY of this happened at the DNC, there would have been a lock down in Denver, the likes we have never seen. When Obama spoke the final night, there was a FIVE MILE no fly/drive parameter around the Stadium. When McCain announced his VP the next day, I parked 50 feet from the entrance.

If anyone had tripped over recycled paper in Denver, all hell would have broken lose… people are ATTACKED in protest in MSP and the story is buried behind a non-event hurricane and obsession over a 17-year-old being pregnant.

Were these real Democrats? of course not. Where they hate mongering assholes who felt that it wasw ok to act hateful towards Republicans? Yes. I am saying they are a product of a culture and media that says this is ok, and that their actions will not be challenged.

Maybe they thought “God was on their side” just as the former DNC chair joked in regards to a Hurricane hitting NOLA on day one of the RNC.

    Just my point of view.

  4. Oh and before you ‘distract’ in response, I know the hurrican was an event, but not the hellish nightmare the press rooted for… it was, to put it mildly, well managed by the NOLA Mayer, and the state officials, and (gasp) FEMA… which means people CAN learn from their failures (thank God)

  5. Ragnar says:

SW – you also forget that there was a white supremecist assasination attempt on Obama’s life – so they had good reasons for shutting down the area around Mile High Stadium. (Though, I choose to look at the arrest of the three would-be assains as three fewer voters against Obama.)

Oh, and yes, there were protestors in Denver. They just didn’t have their full a–hole on yet.

  6. Ragnar says:

Interesting. For some reason BD has reverted to referring to me as Ragnar. I really need to spend some time this week trying to fix my profile.

  7. That white supremecist “plot” was deemed a non-threat… And the 5 mile holy ring was planned WAY before those nut jib, rednecks were caught…

    Anwyay, a circular conversation… again

  8. Mark,

Where is the 5 mile radius in MSP?

Oh, wait, it is not the Dems, so who cares.
