What Barack Obama’s pick of Joe Biden as his running mate says about his campaign:
“Experience matters to the American people and I recognize that I have none.”
This strikes me as an utterly deflating pick for the Obama campaign. Now John McCain must capitalize on it by making a strong pick of his own that highlights the gap in judgment and experience between the two candidates.
Exit question: Is it a winning strategy for the #2 guy to make the #1 guy look like a lightweight?

It worked for Bush/Cheney, twice even.
The Biden choice reminds me of “Bull Durham”, where Kevin Costner’s aging character was brought in to provide on-the-job training for the brash young player.
I was hoping Obama would pick Kaine. Obama is all about “Change.” I am not sure how Biden strengthens his change message–if anything Mr. Establishment Biden rebuts the change message, strengthening my belief is that for Obama it is all about “Change” if that is the word that will get him elected.
It appears “Change” was what he needed to dispatch Ms. Clinton, and it is going to take something else to convince the general public.
So now it is “Experience” (not his) and “Judgment” that will get him elected.
It’s funny the Dems didn’t like Biden either time he tried to run for President, but Obama thinks Biden is the best VP pick.
As far as Bush/Cheney example, didn’t the media try to make that argument? Why isn’t the 100 percent fair media making that argument now that the shoe is on the other party? OK, I’ll give them some time, but somehow I don’t think it will happen.
