While I’m starting to think it probably is Bayh, the story and the bumper sticker don’t prove much. The design of the sticker seems very generic to me, something to sell to a novelty shop. Also seems to lack any disclaimer text (although the blurred area below the 8 might be the disclaimer.
I think this might be a print shop trying to drum up business.
Obama’s campaign said they are printing materials with multiple running mate choices.
I’d be fine with this choice, though.
I have my doubts this will happen, but he could do worse. I think a technocrat like Bayh is a good fit for the role of VP, and Obama may be the only candidate with enough inspiration and charisma to make up for Bayh’s shortfall of both. He’s not my first pick, but as a solid centrist, he could compliment the ticket (though he will likely dissatisfy those further to the left). Obama’s version of compromise is to try and find points of agreement – Bayh’s is to hold fast to the middle for the most part. Could make for some interesting policies.
