Kaine 4 VP? Implications for the GOP

If Obama picks our Governor as his Veep, life will get a lot tougher for the Virginia GOP. Not only will we have Warner’s massive voter database and canvassing effort but we will face a particularly energized Democrat base.

In many ways Kaine complements Obama. Both know how to use religion to appeal beyond the secular left -wing portion of the Democrat base. Obama is black and United Church of Christ — a denomination so liberal it is closer to being Unitarian Universalist than Christian. Kaine is a white suburban Catholic — from a community of the church so far left that it more closely resembles a social action club than a religious faith. Obama is an elitist from Chicago. Kaine is a former ACLU attorney who has won election in a quasi-southern state. Both are radical leftists; Both are experienced at convincing voters otherwise. Sounds like the Democratic dream team — almost…

But Kaine and Obama would still have a few months to keep up the charade and it remains to be seen whether they can manage it.

What do you think? Will our Gov be the next VP?

And, just as interesting for us, what happens to the GOP lineup and GOP prospects in 09 if Kaine resigns Gov or wins Veep and Bolling becomes the Governor?

Speaking of a charade: Nothing like another elitist post deciding who is a Christian or who is an elite, or who is, (snicker) a “radical leftist”. Seriously, does anyone even believe anything on BD anymore? Between the accusations of Obama being a communist or a “radical leftist,” or not being a Christian, or being too smart, or not eating enough fiber, where will it end?

It would be nice to see a debate of the issues and not just more slandering. But, it does seem that is all the GOP or McCain have to offer this election cycle: slander and smear. Good luck with that.

[...] Obama-Kaine ticket from a slightly different angle. If you think I’m tough on leftists, read here. DCH tackles the “religious faith” of both the Messiah and Kaine. Some folks may [...]

Yes, Ragnar. Everyone truly misses your daily diatribes attacking George W. Bush.

    Hypocrite.
