HB 6055 was the final GOP bill that advanced. It was largely based upon the use of the growth in future port revenues to fund our region’s package of 6 MPO projects and some more lanes for the HRBT.

The “new” RT 460 and Midtown Tunnel/MLK Extension were not included in the list of PPTAs authorized by HB 6055 becuase VDOT has laready moved forward with soliciting PPTAs for those two major Port related projects.

I don’t know if your comment is simply your usual unsupported spin, or if there actually was some GOP bill. Perhaps only the true Va Gov’t geeks were in the know…? Regardless, the GOP was unwilling to compromise with the Dems – and good government is born of compromise.

All the Republicans do is attack and destroy plans created by the Dems, unless they are going to provide an alternative plan – any plan – heck, just an idea or two, they aren’t offering anything constructive to the future of Virginia.

And – the lack of a transportation plan WILL cause harm to the economic future of Virginia.
