Sen. Yvonne Miller’s backwards priorities
By | Thursday, July 10th, 2008 | Catch-All

When is a trip to a legislative conference more important than your actual job in the legislature?

When you’re Sen. Yvonne Miller, of course! Miller left the General Assembly session early so she could “prepare” for a trip to a legislative conference. As a result of her supreme slackatude, a list of judges agreed upon by both Republicans and Democrats went unappointed and the courts remain shorthanded. She also dodged votes on energy and transportation by her vanishing act.

When you chose a legislative conference over the legislature, it’s time the voters choose someone else over you.

About the author

Brian Kirwin

The right wants to jeer him. The left wants to censor him. Moderates usually want both. Brian Kirwin is a political consultant and public relations strategist in Virginia Beach with a lightning-rod flair. Brian also serves on the VB Arts & Humanities Commission and frequently appears on Hampton Roads theatrical stages, if only to prove that all actors aren’t liberals. Kirwin’s columns stir up debate and hit the political scene with no punches pulled.
