Today we were talking about politics, the blog, podcasts, photoblogging, and how we’ve been feeling about it lately. Our conversation can pretty much be summed up by two videos…

Of course, we know that struggle and debate is necessary and invevitable in politics. However, sometimes it would be nice just to take a break now and then.

“Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. Sometimes it rains,” said Crash Davis (Kevin Costner in “Bull Durham”).

However, unlike baseball, in politics, you never get a rain-out.

But then again, to quote another baseball movie, Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks in “A League of their Own”) once explained, “It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard… is what makes it great.”
