DCCC goes after Boehner, Goode, Musgrave and others
By JR Hoeft | Thursday, July 3rd, 2008 | Catch-AllThe DCCC in a blog-post today stated that several congressmen, including Rep. Virgil Goode (VA-5), are making an assertion that the Chinese are drilling off the coast of Florida. Apparently this statement is not wholly correct.
The statement comes from a George Will article written on June 5 that has since been corrected. Will’s correction states that while the communist Chinese have teamed up with Cuban companies to drill in the Florida Straits, only the communist Cubans are exploring for oil off our coast.
Whew. What a relief.

So we should be taking our environmental policy leads from Cuba now? Glad to know you hold their govt in such high esteem.
Interesting take, Jeremy.
I would prefer to take it from the Norwegians, who have figured out that drilling does not have to impact the environment.
But I can also assure you that I would prefer to prevent communists from taking oil from off our coast.
Hmm, thanks for the tip Jim. I’ve always liked numerous things about Norway and other Scandanavian countries (could be in the blood, i’m 1/4 Norwegian). But i’d never read about their oil management system. I found this article from a assoc prof at George Mason to be very interesting:
