Yes, short term we need more oil, long term we need more alternative energy sources. You can deny global warming if you want, but truth is the Arctic ice cap is melting. While green house gasses might not be the cause, it is the only cause that we might be able to do something about. If we have tried everything possible, but still are unsuccessful, then we can still pray to God to save us. But until we have tried everything in our power, it is wrong to demand that God does it for us. God helps those that help themselves. I see no long term solution to the energy problem without seeking alternative energy solutions. Problem is that the environmentalist extremists also come up with objections to every solution (even wind turbines) and seem to seek that we regress back to horse and buggy days. Cantor has what, 4-5 years of legislative experience over Obama, but only in the House?
