Fred Malek, finance chair for RPV and John McCain campaign co-chair resigned today from RPV. Ostensibly so that the new RPV Chairman, Del. Jeff Frederick, could bring in his own team.

Update: The Contemporary Conservative also is reporting that Charlie Judd has resigned.

I think that this is a positive move. Now Jeff Frederick can move the party forward and truly have the opportunity for a new vision.

I believe Gary Byler will certainly assist the transition effort and may even be running it from behind the scenes, but why was he left off of the Transition Team published on the Frederick website?

I hope we can move forward as a unified Party. I am getting the feeling that the word “Unity” is only used when the moderate wing of the Party wins. When Trisha Stall defeated Marty Williams last spring in a primary, the moderates bailed and did not “fully” back her, and as a result the Republicans lost the seat. If it had been a moderate who won and the conservatives behind Trisha, or whomever, refused to back the nominee, the moderates would have gone crazy.

Nice double standard we have here.

Moderates didn’t back Tricia Stall, because she’s a stark raving mad lunatic. It would be like asking moderate Democrats to support a LaRouche acolyte.
