Webb-Allen was a 49-49% squeaker.

Warner-Gilmore should be more decisive, with Warner the probable victor with 52-47%

It may even be much, much worse if Bob Marshall supporters stay home stewing over the rumor that the nomination was fixed for Gilmore.

I know it will be a disgusting, bitter pill for Bob, but for the good of the GOP team (and to help unify the Party for his next race) he should come out in a very public way and try to find a few nice things about the nominee.

This task could be a huge challenge for Bob, since we all know what an honest man he is.

It was a very close vote. Due to the way the vote was weighted, if one or two folks from Loudon County had voted the other way, Marshall would've gotten it. Both camps ran a good game, and while I think I might have more in common with Marshall ideologically, Gilmore can definitely beat Warner come November.
