Dave Foster of Arlington running for AG
By | Tuesday, May 27th, 2008 | Catch-All

Not making nearly the same kind of splash in the pool as Sen. Ken Cuccinelli or former U.S. Attorney John Brownlee, former chairman of the Arlington County School Board Dave Foster said last week that he is “considering” a run for Attorney General (yet indications are he has already made his decision – his release was on campaign letterhead that says “Dave Foster – Attorney General”).

You can read the entire release here.

I saw Foster speak at the CD 8 convention. He definitely acted like a candidate, and referred to his actual entrance into the race as a mere formality. I was struck by how engaging we was as a speaker, but I also noticed that he didn’t talk at all about issues, only experience and qualifications. Cuccinelli and Brownlee also spoke, and they went out of their way to mention being pro-life, pro-gun, etc.

I just received a letter in the mail with him informing me of his candidacy.

He has to start distinguishing himself from the other two.

I also received said letter. I wish he had a website in place so I can start researching the 3 potential candidates so I can commit to one candidate for ’09. I had been committed to Cuccinelli, but have since started recieving mail from Brownlee and now this letter. Guess it is time to start looking a little deeper before fully committing. It would be nice to have a candidate who supports my views and doesn’t give a lot of b.s. and I am tired of supporting whomever just because.
