Who said Congressional procedures could be boring?
Virginia Politics On DemandAbout
Bearing Drift was established in 2004. The name comes from the relative motion of objects at sea. If there is no bearing drift, and the distance between you and the object is closing, there will be a collision; therefore, action must be taken.
Most navigation rules state that the best course of action with constant bearing and decreasing range is to alter one's course to starboard - the right! Therefore, most of us at Bearing Drift ascribe to this rule - if it looks like the ship-of-state is going to wreck, move right; you can't go wrong!!!

“Virginia law also made it a crime for doctors to perform the prohibited procedure by mistake”
Oops! I performed an abortion by accident. Sorry, ma’am.
That’s actually funny, Brian.
Why is abortion such a big deal to mainstream Republicans, while the health of the economy and the value of our very currency is “something that the fringe carps about”? I’m completely befuddled by that.
Because when one devalues innocent life, one devalues everything.
The same could very well be said of our currency. How do you reconcile being pro-war and pro-life? Do we have to wait until people grow up to shoot them?
How can anyone reconcile being anti war and pro abortion?
Dan,if you equate the value of innocent life with the value of a dollar, I need say nothing further.
I agree Brian. There’s a reason why murder can result in execution. The taking of a life is as serious a matter as it can get. The problem I see is that our definition of life needs to be established. I mean, what do the courts define as life?
You need say further. Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough, I do feel that human life is infinitely more important than money. Money is a means to an end. Man is an end unto himself. Quality of life is important too, and when the currency is under attack then all of this nation’s material goods are cheapened as well. Money is supposed to be a meter stick, a means for gaging how much one has produced, when it comes time to exchange value for value. Money measures the product of life, not life itself. Therefore, when our currency is being devalued, that cheapens the blood, sweat and tears of every American. Especially those of us with millions of needy welfare recipients depending on us.
So, I can’t equate the value of an innocent life with the value of a dollar, I absolutely can equate the product of my life in dollars, and do so every day, as do you. One can’t equate the potential with the actual. In this case, I do see the unborn as potential, whereas my economic standing is actual. That’s why I think that the economy and the value of the dollar is an issue every bit as prescient as abortion.
“One can’t equate the potential with the actual.” As you continually prove….
Do elaborate.
