Webb still under VP consideration; big weekend on TV
By | Saturday, May 17th, 2008 | Catch-All

The Virginian-Pilot writes today that Sen. Webb is still a possible candidate for vice president — something we’ve been saying since Sept. 2006.

Also, Sen. Webb will be appearing on the following shows:

Sunday, May 18: Meet the Press (NBC)
Monday, May 19: CBS Early Morning
Monday, May 19: Fresh Air (NPR)
Monday, May 19: Late Show with David Letterman (CBS)
Tuesday, May 20: Countdown with Keith Olbermann (MSNBC)
Tuesday, May 20: Lou Dobbs (CNN)

Speaking of TV shows, Vivian Paige takes on Rep. Bobby Scott Sunday on WVEC’s “On the Record” to discuss why Sen. Hillary Clinton should remain in the race to the convention.

Of course, there are also the hockey games on NBC:

Today: Detroit Red Wings v. Dallas Stars
Sunday: Pittsburgh Penguins v. Philadelphia Flyers

Both the Flyers and Stars are on the road and down 3 games to 1 in the series.

Maybe Webb will call it a “listening tour” while he says he’s not interested in VP….right up to the point he accepts it.

This “I’m not seeking an office, but sometimes duty calls” stuff is truly laughable.

“if the volunteers from all 50 states put me on the ballot, then I will run as their servant.” Remember that one?

    He ran twice.
