So, how long does it take Democrats to whine?

Yesterday: Press releases from the Governor, Lt. Gov., Attorney General, and Republican Party of Virginia on Kaine’s transportation plan were issued, so I thought it would be fun to look at the timeliness of the response from the Virginia blogosphere and the DPVA:
Yesterday, BD runs the releases and offers some commentary on plans. Then, this morning, at 6:38 a.m., BD quotes the Virginian-Pilot story on Leader Griffith’s statement about how the only solution the Dems have for transportation is to raise your taxes.
7:46 a.m.: NLS relays Del. Albo’s statement in WaPO: “Kaine’s plan had a “0.000 percent chance” of winning approval.” NLS also called the tax plan “regressive” yesterday.
8:15 a.m.: “Albo Must Go” blames Del. Albo for Virginia’s transportation woes
8:23 a.m.: SWAC Girl has Del. Saxman’s thoughts
8:49 a.m.: Bacon’s Rebellion posts that the GOP must offer an alternative
9:44 a.m.: VB Dems writes — “Speaker Howell of the House of No”
9:45 a.m.: Vivian Paige discusses the local income tax part of the proposal
10:04 a.m.: Blacknell writes about “flat earth” Republicans blocking Kaine’s transportation bill (ed. note: wow, you really know how to reach out…obviously, “flat earth” is anyone who disagree with MB)
11:18 a.m.: RWL cites BD and offers his own thoughts on the subject
FINALLY….
12:08 p.m.: the Democratic Party of Virginia sends out a press release “VIRGINIA REPUBLICANS: PARTY OF ‘NO’
And even more finally…
“4:59 p.m.” on BNN, Raising Kaine writes about “Roadblock Republicans”
Whew…glad to see DPVA and RK finally catch-up. I’m sure it was tough to come up with the message of those “obstructionist” Republicans.

Reach out? You mean the way the Republicans did who were tripping over themselves to announce how they were going to block it? Please.
The GOP strategy of sticking its fingers in its ears and ignoring reality isn’t really a sustainable one, no matter how well it’s served the party in recent years. It’ll collapse soon, hopefully before it does anymore damage to the state. The party is welcome to damage itself beyond repair, though. Couldn’t think of a more deserving lot.
MB-
Love ya man. Just hate the term “flat earth”…always have.
Regardless, you were a full two hours ahead of RK and DPVA at coming up with a basic anti-Republican message. Congrats!
JR, isn’t that funny. We actually write what we think, and it doesn’t change when the Party blasts an email.
Quite different from the Democrats’ whining on cue.
I can understand that being an itchy appellation, J.R., but I think it’s pretty apt, here. Faced with a mountain of evidence, the GOP House is choosing to ignore it all to hold tight to a belief that ultimately retards progress.
And as to the order of things with RK and DPVA, I think anyone would be hard pressed to ID any message coordination/groupthink effect on my writing. I’m pretty comfortable as a partisan Dem, but I ain’t running a reprint service
