Hillary wants Obama - No Moderator

Obama’s refused Hillary Clinton’s calls for more debates, so Hillary sweetened the offer - 90 minutes with no moderator: Lincoln-Douglas style.

Obama been refusing to debate, since the moderator’s questions have gotten tougher than ‘Would you like a pillow.’ So since Obama doesn’t like the questions, Hillary says fine. No moderator, just Hillary and Obama.

No response from B.O. yet.

Never debate when you’re winning, it can only help your opponent.

Enough already with the debates! They have debated 21 times already and the last one was a disaster.

    Not for us :)

Actually what Hillary is proposing might accurately be described as being the first real debate. What has been happening prior can only be described as being glorified press conferences with little interaction between those described as debaters.

    Hillary spin…

Obama is showing his true colours. For all his talk of being anti-Washington, and anti-politics as usually, he is proving he is a typical beltway politician. He is ahead now, so no debates. That’s how a politician thinks.

A man who wants to give the people what they want–a debate in their state, and, as LD pointed out, a real debate–has shown he does not care what they want. All he cares about is the Presidency, and like so many other politicians, he will do whatever he can to get it.

Finally, some honesty in the Obama campaign. Refreshing!!

    Ragnar,

Hillary spin? It is my understanding that the most recent Democratic debate gleaned the highest ratings yet. It is not like there is no public interest in them.

Duck - whatever, your candidate wants to be President more to serve his own needs (or her on the off chance you are supporting Billary) than to serve the nation.

LD - The only one who wants a debate is Hillary (oh, and Mark Penn to justify the $10,000,000 + the campaign paid him to run this mess). The race is over, the race has been over for quite some time. It would be nice if she decided to place the nation and the Democratic party above her own petty needs.

    Ragnar,

I support Clinton over Obama or McCain, but I am not a Clinton supporter. I loathed her husband. I just think she is the best of the lot. I have no illusions as to who Clinton is though. I know she is tough, and she will say anything to be elected.

My problems with Obama are many, but I really despise liars and people who make themselves out to be something they are not. Hillary fits this mold to a degree. But she does not claim to be above the fray and then join it.

It comes down to trust. You can’t trust a word that comes out of Obama’s mouth. Hillary, McCain and Nadir are all more trustworthy than Obama. And they all have more experience than he does.

It’s time for America to be honest with itself. If Obama were a well spoken white guy with no African American blood, he would have been out of this race months ago.

I have no problem electing a black man or woman as President. I do have a problem with those who think that is the overriding qualification.

    Ragnar,

It seems to me that the millions that tuned into the last debate might want another one. I haven’t seen the polls for those in favor of another debate, just the ratings for those that tuned into the last one. I am sure that they were not all Clinton supporters.

The only people that do not want another debate are Obama and his die hard supporters. They think they have nothing to gain and everything to lose. Is Obama afraid of a real debate? Is Obama such a weak candidate that he can’t face Hillary? What then are we to expect when he goes up against McCain and real opposition? Will your flower then wilt?
