It’s 3:00 a.m. Do you know where your Presidential candidate is?
It’s 3am… Does he know which end to talk into.
or
His pastor would hate that phone… it’s white.
“I know I haven’t spent a lot of time learning the ways of Washington. But I’ve been there long enough to know that the ways of Washington must change.”
Starting with way they answer a phone!
Photo taken April 2003:
(From the other end of the phone) – Honey, pastor Wright said some very harsh things in his sermon today. We might want to find another church, or this may become a problem in the future.
Obama – Uhuh. Yes dear, glad you’re having a nice time. Give the girls my love. Love you.
BTW, lest anyone actually think is real:

Obama holds wonkish policy conference call with reporters to counter “empty suit” rhetoric.
I know honey, I know. Darn it, can you believe the things we have to do to get elected? It’s always “which shiny thing are we supposed to bite at today?”, or “listen to me”, or “my cause is the most important”, “you have to listen to me”. It is madding. This blame shifting, apologetic and attention diverting thing is driving me to insanity.
What? I can’t hear you, the baby did what? Please speak more clearly. I have to go now, there is a line of attention hogs at the door and I have an appearance at 8. Love you, kiss the kids for me.
This is how President W told me to use this thing…
Barack to Hillary: “Here’s the plan, if you leave the race now, I promise that you can join my cabinet as Secretary of Intern Affairs.”
What we have here is a failure to communicate.
