    Congrats on those selected, though i’d consider the ommision of both BD and Bacons Rebellion a major oversight (and not being on the blogroll here i feel quite comfortable in saying that). Of course, BR may not have qualified as its tied to JimB’s newletter and doesn’t “stand alone”. To my mind though, what really “makes” a blog (especially a political one) is the community, the discussion and resulting interplay of ideas. No offense to the winners, but i’d say both BD and BR are more successfull in that regard than one or more of those noted.

    I suppose it greatly hinges on how you define a blog. Is a blog without comments a great blog? Or is a blog full of fascinating discussions no longer a blog but a forum in blog’s clothing?
