Marty Williams unloads on Mike Wade

It would appear that former state Sen. Marty Williams has lost no affection for current RPV 3rd Congressional District Chair Mike Wade. Yikes!

What is Bearing Drift?
Bearing Drift was established in 2004. The name comes from the relative motion of objects at sea. If there is no bearing drift, and the distance between you and the object is closing, there will be a collision; therefore, action must be taken. Most navigational rules say to avoid collision, turn to starboard -- the right!

Well this is one ugly mess for all involved. I certainly think Sen. Williams made his fair share of PR mistakes but Stall was probably the worst candidate they could have come up with to primary him in preparation for the general. While Williams probably had a primary coming it would have been smart to find a candidate who could actually win a general.
Yes indeed, we can thank the 3rd Congressional Chair because of Stall’s loss we now have a democratic controlled senate by 1 vote. Now why is that such a loss since we got rid of a compromiser? Glad you asked.
First, we could very well lose multiple Congressional seats. Mr. Wade takes full credit for Drake’s nomination and win but what happens if she loses her seat due to redistricing by 1 vote in the senate. Will he take credit for the loss?
It would also not take too much playing around with the district lines to lose the 11th, 10th, 2nd and 4th congressional districts. Thats four GOP seats. Will he take credit for those lost Congressman and women if we lose re-districting thanks to the loss of Sen. Williams or the lack of finding a good primary challenger thinking ahead for the general election. Yes, we have certainly maintained our “purity” but at what cost? Potentially 4 maybe even more great U.S. Representatives.
Non-Republican Creed related issues that can sometimes overtake the rationalization abilities of some Republicans presents me with cause for unsettled feelings at times.
I find those types of preoccupations by some GOP members as not really being germane to the goals of limited government. Perhaps the political winds blowing within the RPV will begin to shift in the direction of moderation so as to allow what appears to be well a needed dose of pragmatism to begin to play a role in our party members’ decision making - especially during these times where the RPV is underoging somewhat of an identity crisis as it grapples with a possible need to reinvent itself so as to remain a relevant shaper of our country’s future.
