Forbes joins Cantor in seeking “solutions”
By | Monday, March 17th, 2008 | Catch-All

U.S. Rep. J. Randy Forbes (R-VA04) has created his own spin on interacting with constituents by launching what he calls a “solutions lab” from his award-winning congressional web site.

Right now, it’s just a web page where constituents with bright ideas can shoot an email to the congressman letting him know what they think about problems that the federal government can fix, along with ideas on how to fix them.

Forbes’ site is in its infancy right now, but is clearly a take-off on Rep. Eric Cantor’s (R-VA07) “solutions factory” launched about a year ago, which has proven to be a successful outreach tool. On Cantor’s site, the solutions are a bit more interactive due to its “blog” style.
